Korean Beef Bowl




This Korean beef bowl is quick and easy! If you are looking for a quick but super tasty dinner, then look no further! You could add any extras you like - like substituting out cabbage for lettuce or grated carrot.

Ingredients

400g beef mince
4 cloves of garlic (finely sliced)
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/4 cup tamari
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon crushed ginger
1/2 fresh red chilli (sliced)
Pepper
Olive oil

2 eggs
Olive oil

1 cup of rice
1 stock cube (beef or chicken)

Shredded red cabbage
Spring onion (sliced)
Sweet chilli sauce

Method

1. Cook rice and add a stock cube to the water.

2. While rice is cooking, add olive oil to a pan and heat. Add mince and cook until browned.

3.  Add garlic, maple syrup, tamari, sesame oil, ginger, chilli, and pepper into a bowl and mix together,

4. Add marinade mixture to cooked mince and cook for 5-10 minutes until the mince is fully coated and liquid thickens/slightly evapourates.

5. Add oil to separate pan and fry eggs to liking.

6. Put cooked rice into a bowl, top with mince, add shredded cabbage and pour a small amount of sweet chilli onto cabbage, top with spring onion.
